Kind Vision Medical Assistance Program

Kind Vision provides medical assistance for patients who suffer from acute and chronic diseases but cannot bear treatment expenses. Access to medical care for these individuals is crucial because they are often faced with a dilemma in choosing between fighting-off hunger or fighting-off the disease. Problems are exacerbated when the disease strikes the breadwinner of a family. During these times of crisis, medical assistance can create a significant impact to these families.

Kind Vision provides medical assistance through a network of healthcare professionals (HCP). These professionals encounter many people in their daily practices who are not well-versed in the treatment required or many times cannot pay for their treatment. Kind Vision’s network of professionals focus on providing assistance by guiding vulnerable people and providing financial assistance for their treatment.

Thalassemia Medical Assistance

Kind Vision partners with various medical centers and care networks to carry out its medical assistance initiatives; one such initiative is the Thalassemia Medical Assistance program. Kind Vision partners with Red Crescent Society to provide blood transfusions to vulnerable children and young adults whose families are not privileged to bear costs of the transfusion periodically. The HCP network also follows up with the families to encourage healthy lifestyles and proper education for a brighter future for the children.

Emergency Medical Assistance

Kind Vision provides emergency medical assistance to individuals who are involved in accidents and cannot afford surgeries and/or treatments. Kind Vision’s HCPs identify those who need emergency assistance and provide financial support to them as required. The emergency assistance helps individuals to get back to health and seek a renewed life.

Health Awareness Program

With the moto of ‘Prevention is the best cure for any disease’, Kind Vision actively participates and conducts various health awareness programs. These programs include blood bank drive, free medical camps, health awareness rally, and health seminars. These programs are carried out by volunteers and are often done through partnerships and support from other local non-profit organization and societies. Not only do these programs raise health awareness and promote healthy life-styles, they also help in early intervention and cure for certain diseases.

“You can find Calcutta all over the world, if you have the eyes to see. Everywhere, wherever you go, you find people who are unwanted, unloved, uncared for, just rejected by society — completely forgotten, completely left alone.”
